Job duties: Design and implement quality improvement initiatives for heavy duty equipment machinery parts manufacturing systems and processes.Support production teams in improving and enhancing processes related to machining, welding, grinding, cutting, assembly, in-process inspection and test, paint/detail, final inspection. Develop and implement quality goals and objectives to improve the QCDS (Quality, Cost, Delivery and Service).Implement projects using Lean Six Sigma Green Belt. Design product build fixtures with goal of improving quality, reducing costs, and increasing throughout. Perform product and process evaluations; develop process and product quality checklist and work instructions; balance work flow. Perform root cause analysis on non-conforming products. Inspect and approve incoming, in-process and final products against engineering specifications. Conduct regular reviews of customer quality data and develop plans for improvement in external/internal measurements, corrective actions, and implementation of improvement processes and programs. Prepare Supplier Corrective Action Reports (S.C.A.R.) and maintain quality records. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve customer complaints and improve customer satisfaction. Monitor production trends; provide technical guidance and support to team members, etc.
Job requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Technology or related field and minimum 2 years demonstrated experience as Quality Engineer required. Must be certified in Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
